All in one day explore the rural Basque countryside and charming coastal villages. We will start the day with the Mount Ernio, with a short walk out in the fields to admire the view of the inland green valleys. Then, we will discover the impressive religious monument, Sanctuary of Loiola, near the Casa Torre which is the birthplace of the founder of the Jesuites, St. Ignatius of Loyola. Driving through splendid mountain road, villages, etc, we will feel the essence of the Basque Country. We will stop at the Mount Izarraitz to have beautiful views of the mountainous interior as well as the coastline. We will end up to the Basque fishing village of Getaria, a charming little fishing village. Home of Juan Sebastian Elcano, the man who was first to sail around the world, it is probably one of the most treasured medieval centers which best reflects the passing of time.
