Cosmopolitan and with activities that suit all tastes, Barcelona has become one of the capitals of European fashion. With an important artistic legacy, the city welcomes students from around the world, encourages young people to make their collections under the identity of the Barcelona brand and consecrates designers known nationally and internationally.
In Premium Traveler Barcelona we love to constantly walk around the city to discover new shops, galleries and Pop Up’s so you can enjoy your stay at its most. If you love shopping, allow to spend at least an afternoon to walk around the city without missing any of the mandatory stops we offer below.
For those who love design, our first recommendation is El Museu del Disseny de Barcelona (in the Design Hubb building). It’s common denominator is the object, and gathers about 70,000 objects under the name of applied and decorative arts. From furniture to ceramics, going through graphic and fashion design, this museum offers a critical thought on what should be the real contribution of design in the XXIst century.
We step on our route and start shopping in Paseo de Gracia, the main shopping avenue. To discover one of the most iconic stores, formerly frequented by the Barcelona bourgeoisie, we have to enter Santa Eulalia. There we find a selection of the best national and international brands surrounded by a luxury atmosphere. Known for having one of the oldest tailor-made shirt shops, it also offers a customized suit tailoring service. On the first floor, in the champagne bar, you will be able to have breakfast or lunch in order to start your day full of energy.
If you have a restless mind and like to soak up new trends, this space is a must. Passage is a new concept store hidden in the Sarria neighborhood. With objects of all kinds, this shop includes multi-conceptual art together with fashion and design in an environment full of creativity. You will find accessories like headgears, handbags and jewelry along with works of art and a collection of books with strong personality.
Considered the most avant-garde neighborhood of the city, El Borne is the new fashion center in Barcelona. Because of its architecture, gastronomical offers and artistic threshold, it is the best place to find variety in all of its meanings. You’ll find new designers who offer handmade designs and established brands that exhibit their collections in their boutiques. Some of our proposals are La Comercial, a kind of Colette store in Paris, with five showrooms distributed around the neighborhood and Cortana, a catalan wedding and guest dress designer with a bohemian style.
If you are thinking in making a shopping route around Barcelona and need help, we have a team of personal shoppers that can design a specific one for you. Shall we start?
