From its peaks, you can see mountains that exceed 3000 meters high, such as Maladeta and Aneto.
The area has a rich pre-Romanesque and Romanesque heritage, but its greatest treasure is its abundant nature. It can boast of places such as the Circ de Colomers, Montgarri, el Parc Nacional d’Aigüestortes or l’Estany de Sant Maurici. A wide range of activities are available, including canoeing, adventure sports, hunting and fishing. The capital of the region, Sort, is known throughout the country for its administration of the lottery “La Bruja de Oro”, which has given a big amount of jackpots.
