Barcelona has many faces: apart from the Gothic and the Modernist cities, there is a contemporary side, a city that looks to the future; a Barcelona where the most renowned architects from around the world have managed to create their buildings, true icons of architecture. During this tour we will visit, together with a guide specialized in architecture, the most emblematic buildings of the 20th and 21st century which have positioned Barcelona as one of the capitals of reference of contemporary architecture. We will visit the MACBA (Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona) made by Richard Meier, the Agbar Tower of Jean Nouvel, the Palau Sant Jordi of Arata Isozaki, among others… knowing its history, the reason for its construction and the impact it has had on the city. We will also discover new neighbourhoods that have grown linked to a post-modern or avant-garde architecture such as the 22@ district.
