53rd Edition of Barcelona’s International Boat Show

The only European city with more than 4 km of beach

Barcelona, is an open and cosmopolitan city. An international benchmark for its lifestyle, gastronomy and leisure attractions, besides being the nerve centre for a large number of companies and organizations. Its commercial port is one of the largest in the world and the biggest cruise-ship base in Europe. In addition, is the only European city with more than four kilometers of beaches in the city centre itself (discover Barceloneta with a walking tour)and ranks second in the world list of sports cities*.

All this makes of Barcelona the perfect city for hosting the Boat Show that this year celebrates its 53rd edition and that will take place between the 15th and the 19th of October. The venue has more than 230 stands, 700 boats on display and 150 yatchs and superyatchs in the water in Port Vell and El Moll d’Espanya (both ports located close to the city centre).

Many activities have been organized these days for the whole family: the “Sea Space” (a sector meeting point with presentations of regattas and themed discussions), Fun Beach (youth and leisure area focused on surfing, windsurfing, paddle surfing, kayaking and light sailing), Traditional Sailing (an exhibition of vessels and sailing from the beginning of the last century) and the Village (a meeting and networking space to promote business and exchange ideas)… among many other activities.

The perfect plan for sea lovers!
