Barcelona, world center of mobile phones for tenth consecutive year
Today has started the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, world’s largest exhibition for the mobile industry, where more than 90,000 visitors, 2,000 exhibitors, 4,000 journalists and 160 global government delegations will meet during four intense days at the conference or in one of the privately arranged business meeting rooms.
This major international congress will have an economic impact of 436 million euros for the city of Barcelona between leisure and business expenses, and approximately 12672 temporary jobs will be created. It is expected that this year’s Mobile World Congress will exceed all records obtained so far.
Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook), Sundar Pichai (Google), Jimmy Wales (Wikipedia), Michell Baker (Mozilla) and Tom Wheeler (regulatory body for the telecommunication sector of the United States) will act as speakers in this edition.
