Spain is the third largest producer of wine in the world. It is the world’s leading producer of olive oil. Its regional cheeses have won numerous international awards. Thanks to this tour you will enjoy a gastronomic excursion where these 3 pillars of Spanish cuisine will be presented to you. From Seville we will head south to the Grazalema and Ronda Sierras. Our first stop will be in a local olive mill on the outskirts of Zahara de la Sierra. We will enjoy a private tour of the mill and a tasting of country bread drizzled with olive oil. We will then travel further East to the outskirts of Ronda. We will visit a local winery and enjoy a guided tour by our hosts around the vineyards and the “bodega” and of course be privy to a tasting of their finest wines. Over 20 wineries now cultivate grapes on the land surrounding the town, most of them small, boutique and family run. Meteorological and topographical conditions ensure the production of some excellent red and white wines. It will then be time to drive to one of our favourite white villages to enjoy lunch. After lunch we will visit the delicatessen of a local producer of the famous Payoyo cheese where we will enjoy a tasting of the numerous styles and combinations of cheese that they produce.
