During this trip we will discover which is undoubtedly the most cosmopolitan, open and vibrant city of Spain, Barcelona. A jewel of the Mediterranean that breathes art and creativity from all sides. More than two thousand years of history and the footsteps of artists like Gaudí, Miró, Picasso, Tàpies, among others, have given this city an inspiring identity and international projection which fortunately continues and adapts to changing times and trends. In its urban layout Roman ruins, medieval districts and the most beautiful examples of Modernism and avant-garde of the twentieth century are integrated. Barcelona is also synonymous of haute cuisine, which is not surprising considering that enjoys the privilege of coexisting with some of the best chefs in the world.
Arrival – At the appointed time
Arrival in Barcelona and transfer by private vehicle to the hotel. Time to settle in.
Afternoon – Tapas & Wine Tour
In the afternoon we will carry out a tapas tour along one of the most historic neighborhoods of the city. During the tour we will visit some of the most unique bars to taste these little creations accompanied by fine wines. We will be accompanied by a gastronomic expert who will explain us many curiosities of the Mediterranean cuisine and the history of tapas. Between bar and bar, we will walk through the streets of the historic center of Barcelona, where our guide will be revealing us the secrets and stories of the history of the city…
Morning – Essential Barcelona Tour
During this morning we will carry out a tour along the most essential Barcelona. We will visit the main attractions of the city such as the Sagrada Familia, the Gothic Quarter or the mountain of Montjuïc. An ideal tour to take a first impression of Barcelona, its culture, its lifestyle and its history. We may end up having lunch at a restaurant specialized in fish, seafood and rice in front of the Port Vell.
Afternoon – Free at leisure
Free afternoon to continue discovering Barcelona. We will be able to visit one of its museums internationally recognized, such as the Picasso Museum or the MACBA (Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art), stroll through the bohemian Borne neighborhood, go shopping in the exclusive Paseo de Gracia or walk along the Barceloneta beach. If we wish we may also be able to relax in the SPA of our hotel.
Morning – Sporty Barcelona Tour
Today we will recall FC Barcelona’s sporting successes walking through the most emblematic facilities of the Camp Nou. We will discover the visitors’ changing room, the players’ tunnel, the benches area in the playing field, the newsroom, the museum… at the end of the visit, if we want, we’ll be able to buy the shirt of our favorite player. Then we willll head to the magical mountain of Montjuïc where we’ll enjoy stunning views of the city and discover the major facilities that hosted the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, such as the Olympic Stadium Lluís Companys, the Palau Sant Jordi or the Calatrava Tower.
Afternoon – Free at leisure
We may spend a nice and quiet evening in one of the terraces of the best hotels in Barcelona and take the opportunity to take a tasty cocktail while enjoying the views of Paseo de Gracia.
Full day (option 1) – Girona & Figueres
Today we will visit Girona and Figueres, two interesting cities to the north of Barcelona. Girona is considered one of the cities with more history and charm of Spain. We will stroll through the historic center and the most picturesque areas such as the ancient walls or the Jewish Quarter. We will also visit the Cathedral, which dates from the eleventh century and whose interior includes the widest Gothic nave in the world. After visiting Girona, we will go to Figueres, city where we can find the fascinating Dalí Theatre-Museum, the largest surrealistic object in the world. The museum is already a work of art in itself, but also houses many famous works by Dalí, one of the most iconic painters of the twentieth century. Lunch will be at a typical Catalan house.
Morning (option 2) – Winery of author visit
This morning we will visit a family owned winery located in the middle of a very special natural environment. Upon arrival we will walk through the vineyards, which will motivate us to learn more about the history and importance of wine in Catalonia. We will see the old winery (which still produces some of the current wines) and the modern one (considered one of the most innovative in the region). After the walk we will taste some white, red and rosé wines in the old dining room of the winery, where we will also enjoy a typically Catalan lunch.
At the appointed time – Private transfer to the airport and back home
