We open the doors of the new SOPHIA

Encontramos un espacio para cada momento del día

There are a number of hotels in Barcelona that have been in our minds for years as they have become reference spots for a luxury stay in our city. Well, one of them is the Hotel Sofia which we visited a few days ago after its remodeling. Located on Avenida Diagonal, central axis of Barcelona, the hotel opens to the city with a decoration managed by Jaime Beriestain and the Selenta Grup team. The best? That we have found a space for each moment of the day.

Among the facilities we find Philosofia, a cafe with  terrace and a library that faces the diagonal and offers, in addition to pastries and sandwiches, food to take away. Our team had lunch at Impar, a Mediterranean restaurant with ham and cheese bars, oysters and an open kitchen. A highly recommended proposal for locals who want a pleasant place for a work lunch, a safe bet to dine with your friends and a perfect opportunity for hotel guests looking for a first contact with Spanish cuisine. In addition, there is BESO, the hotel’s most exclusive gastronomical experience, with classics designes by the chef of the well-known Via Veneto restaurant in Barcelona. All of them, paired with wines selected by the inhouse sommelier.

Despite having 465 rooms, all of them have a modern decoration, panoramic views of the city, home automation technology and Natura Bissé amenities. The Sofia also has suites and a private entrance penthouse with personalized services to suit all the types of clients the hotel receives.

There is no need to leave the hotel in order to relax and disconnect from the routine because it offers 1,000m2 of Wellness & Spa with water circuit, saunas, steam baths and a menu of treatments and rituals carried out by expert therapists. All of it is complemented by a gym open 24 hours a day and equipped with the best machines.

At this point, we are just intrigued with the opening of Zuu, a new concept in Barcelona that promises to be one of the most exciting nightlife experiences. It is a space that will mix gastronomy with a show full of dancers, actors and singers. Can’t wait to show you more!
